OUR PROCESS
Earning an athletic scholarship isn’t an overnight process. It takes an intentional plan that goes beyond your play on the field. NXT LVL will help guide you from wherever you are in the process to give you the best opportunity to play beyond high school. Depending on your needs and the package you choose, NXT LVL can handle everything from communicating with coaches to creating original content to hosting your signing day. Here’s how our process works (based on our Pro package).
INITIAL CONSULTING
The biggest mistake high school recruits and their parents make is over or under estimating the level at which the athlete can compete. The first step in the recruiting process is to go through our intake process that includes a player evaluation that is based on video, statistics, measurables, and more. We want to set you up for success and get you in contact with schools that will be a great fit for you as an athlete and a person!
PHOTO SHOOT
All materials we send out to college coaches will be created and branded specifically for you. Our goal is to have you stand out from the pack, and high quality photography goes a long way towards that goal. Depending on your sport and our marketing plan, we will take your photos in a studio setting or at your home athletic facility. Photos will be taken in your high school uniform and in business casual attire. The shoot will include action photos in addition to posed studio shots.
VIDEO SHOOT
Preferably, we will shoot for your recruiting video the same day we complete your photo shoot. If you invest in an All Star or Pro package, we will also cover games to get high quality game footage for your film. Recruiting videos include a studio interview, training shots (skill development, weight training, etc), game footage (if applicable), and voice overs. The video is NOT just a highlight film; we are telling your story!
MARKETING PACKAGE
Your basic marketing package will include post cards with QR codes, an athletic resume with digital links and a form letter to send to coaches. Athletes utilizing the All-Star or Pro packages will have a personal recruiting webpage built that will be directly linked from all printed and digital marketing materials. The Pro package includes social media set up on up to three platforms. We will create a theme for your recruiting social media that is reflected in your profile picture, cover photo, biography, etc. Social media maintenance is available for an additional charge.
SIGNING DAY
For athletes utilizing the Pro package, we will help to organize and cover your signing day. This service includes collaborating with the media and writing a press release, providing pictures for social media, and including a full write up on your recruiting webpage. This service can be purchased as an add-on to any other package.
